Privacy Policy

The short version
AI-Portal has no user accounts and you can use the entire site without giving us any personal information. The only personal data we collect is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to the weekly newsletter. We use standard, anonymous usage analytics to understand which content is useful. That is essentially it.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the weekly newsletter we collect exactly one thing: your email address. It is used only to send you the weekly email, is stored securely with our email provider (Resend), and is never sold or shared with anyone else. Subscribing requires your explicit consent, and we keep a record of when and where you gave it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that removes you immediately; you can also ask us at any time to delete your address entirely by emailing the address below.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to collect aggregate usage statistics such as page views, approximate region, and device type. Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose. We use this data only to understand how the site is used and to improve it; we do not sell data or use it for advertising. You can block analytics with standard browser tools (content blockers, or disabling cookies) and the site will work normally.
Data stored in your browser
Interactive tools on the site (the accessibility widget preferences, calculators, and checklists) store their state locally in your own browser (localStorage). This data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Server logs and security
Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) processes IP addresses transiently in server logs and for rate limiting to keep the service available and secure. We do not build profiles from this data.
External links
The site links out to many external resources (news sources, courses, papers, repositories, job listings). Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers only ai-portal.ai.
